60s Vintage War Time Asian Souvenir Pajamas Costume XS

Vintage 60s ~ Colorful cotton War Time Asian Pajama set probably brought back to the States by a returning soldier as a souvenir. The outfit includes:

vibrant cotton print in colors of red, white, blue and black

cut-away peekaboo top with blue satin like trim on collar and cuffs

metal frogs inside collar tips and at back to maintain collar shape

Side and front metal snap closure

elastic waist crop pants with blue trim

Would make a wonderful costume or great for the collector!

(Note: the outfit is small barely being able to fit on my size 4 -6 mannequin because of the smallness of the neck opening and the side closure..we think this would be a large in a girls size since the shoulder measurement is only 11 1/2 inches. If worn on a girl, there would probably be no exposed tummy.)

Outside Length: 35 3/4 inches.

Inseam: 24 3/4 inches.

Condition:

The pajamas are in Good condition with only a few slight issues which we have pictured below. There is some slight storage staining to the fabric but this may come out with proper cleaning and is hidden in the pattern of the fabric. The fabric is strong. Some of the snaps need to be reenforced and one is missing. The front where the snaps meet in the middle needs to have a few stitches placed to mend. A few whip stitches should be placed at the vee of the neckline to reenforce. Actually, this outfit is in remarkable condition for its age and is a wonderful example and collectible of wartime souvenirs. We have not cleaned them but will leave up to new owner. This item is sold as is.
